大会結果 国内外の９大学１７名の参加があり、日本語と英語、各１対戦を行いました。
テーマは、駅周辺開発に関する三者間交渉でした。

“What I Learned from Cross-Cultural Negotiation“

I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to participate in the Visionary World Cup 2025.
The two-day competition was held online, where domestic and international students engaged in mock negotiations in English and Japanese divisions. I took part in the English division as a representative of the virtual government of Mirai City, negotiating with Plasma Corporation and MR Railway on the city’s future development.
Although I had participated in Model United Nations before, this was my first experience with business negotiations. Unlike diplomatic simulations, business negotiations required more strategic thinking, as each party held confidential information and placed strong emphasis on financial feasibility. Prior to the competition,my team analyzed the case and created our negotiation plan based on insights from the opening lecture.
The negotiation process was far more stimulating than I anticipated. It was fascinating to observe other teams’ strategies and adjust our approach in real time. Within a cooperative atmosphere, we successfully achieved two out of our three goals.
However, we spent too much time discussing financial burdens and could not fully present an innovative plan for utilizing unused land. Although we reached fair
agreements, I realized that focusing too much on securing profits can sometimes limit outcomes. I learned that the best deal is not always the best result.
Overall, the negotiation was a success, and the judges’ constructive feedback was extremely valuable. I am grateful to have received the Top Individual Award for the English Division and, together with my teammates, the Top Team Award. Our achievements were the result of early preparation and strong collaboration.
Despite the last-minute shift to an online format due to a typhoon, the event ran smoothly and offered meaningful opportunities for learning and exchange. One of the highlights was meeting and collaborating with students from Japan, Canada, and Poland, and sharing diverse ideas and strategies. At first I was nervous, but the enthusiasm of other participants encouraged me to speak up confidently. Predicting other teams’positions and preparing for multiple possibilities was challenging, but overcoming these difficulties made the experience even more rewarding.
I would highly recommend this event to any student who wishes to develop strategic thinking, adaptability, and communication skills through real-world negotiation practice.

『国境を越えた交渉から学んだこと』

2025 年の Visionary World Cup に参加する貴重な機会をいただき、大変光栄に思います。大会はオンラインで 2 日間開催され、国内外の学生が英語部門と日本語部門に分かれて模擬交渉を行いました。私は英語部門に参加し、仮想の自治体「みらい市」の代表として「プラズマ社」「MR 鉄道」と三者交渉を行い、市の将来の発展について議論しました。
これまで模擬国連などに参加した経験はありましたが、ビジネス交渉は初めてでした。各当事者が機密情報を抱え、財務面の現実性も重視されるため、より戦略的な思考が求められました。大会前にはチームで問題文を分析し、初日の講義も参考にしながら計画を立てました。
交渉は想像以上に刺激的で、他チームの戦略を観察しながらその場で対応を調整するのは非常に興味深い経験でした。協力的な雰囲気の中で、3 つの目標のうち 2 つを達成することができました。
一方で、費用負担の議論に時間を費やし、未利用地活用の革新的な計画を十分に提案できなかったのは残念でした。公正な取引はできましたが、利益確保にこだわりすぎなければ、さらに成果を上げられたのではないかと思いました。最良の取引が必ずしも最良の結果につながるわけではないという学びを得ました。
全体として交渉は成功し、審査員からいただいた前向きで建設的なフィードバックは大変貴重でした。これらの学びは今後に大いに役立つと感じています。
「英語部門 個人第 1 位」を受賞し、みらい市のチームメイトと共に「優秀チーム賞」をいただけたことを光栄に思います。今回の成功は、早い段階からの準備と協力のおかげです。
台風の影響で直前にオンライン開催へ変更となりましたが、イベントはスムーズに運営され、学びと交流の素晴らしい機会となりました。特に楽しかったのは、世界中の学生と出会い、協力できたことです。チームには日本、カナダ、ポーランド出身の仲間がおり、多様なアイデアや戦略を共有できました。最初は緊張しましたが、他の参加者の発言に勇気づけられ、積極的に意見を出せるようになりました。
他チームの立場を予測し、様々な可能性に備えるのは大変難しかったのですが、それを乗り越えられたことがより意義深い経験となりました。戦略的思考力、適応力、コミュニケーション力を高めたい学生に、この経験を強くお勧めします。
